ALIF + L4-S1 Posterior Revision
I had three posterior L4-S1 revisions that were unsuccessful and was then referred to Iowa Ortho. Dr. Schmitz performed an ALIF on May 6th and a posterior L4-S1 revision on May 12th, 2025. Both surgeries were very successful. My recovery includes a lot of walking at an indoor track, along with light weight training. I’ve had a total of five surgeries over the last six years. Core strength is an important part of my recovery.
