  • Accounting/Financial Analyst

    The Financial Analyst works directly with leaders of the company to inspire change and use innovation to improve processes. The Financial Analyst will have the freedom to explore ideas and work with others to identify problems, and write solutions. The role is an integral part to our growth as a company and service to the community.

    • Assist with the new business process while collaborating with all department managers.
    • Responsible for the day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.
    • Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
    • Responsible for designing and generating various company reports and financial analytics that focus on medical cost, utilization, membership, trends, and ad hoc requirements.
    • Full ownership of Account Receivable including researching payments, daily check deposits, analysis, and balancing.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in Financial Analysis.
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of statutory accounting principles.

  • Triage Nurse (Telephonic)

    The Triage Nurse provides telephonic nursing support for the clinic physicians. This person is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers with timely patient communications and patients with timely responses to questions or concerns.

    • Functions with autonomy in clinical nursing practice within the guidelines established by the Iowa Board of Nursing and Iowa Ortho.


    • At the direction of the physician, provides patient notification and education regarding results of various tests and documents actions in the electronic medical record.  Works collaboratively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to process information in an accurate, timely and consistent manner.
    • Receives and processes medication refill requests following established policies and protocols, handles requests in an accurate, timely and thorough manner.  Exercises good judgment in the identification of potential problems such as medication side effects, adverse interactions, non-compliance with the medical plan of care and repeated failure to keep scheduled appointments.  Completes order forms/correspondence as needed.
    • Responsible for handling a high volume incoming and outgoing calls. Including calls to and from physicians, patients, patient’s family members, pharmacies, and various other health related agents.
    • Current R.N. license (orthopedic or previous nursing experience not required but preferred)
    • Two years of previous experience in customer service or phone position

    The medical coder ensures optimum reimbursement for medical services through accurate and timely reporting and posting of all physician and ancillary services.

    The Facilities Coordinator is charged with activities concerned with the operation, repair and maintenance of the Iowa Ortho facilities. This job will include working directly with construction, equipment, buildings and contractors to maintain the excellence of services set forth by Iowa Ortho. The department is responsible for providing an environment that supports productivity along with minimizing risk for physicians, employees and patients of Iowa Ortho. The position performs work independently under the direction of the Manager. Skills necessary for success will include knowledge of all operational function on the property and building systems. This may include such functions as maintenance, painting and carpentry.

    • Provides prompt, courteous and excellent service to all clients and operates within accordance of Iowa Ortho policies and procedures.

    • Follow through on assignments, set priorities, recognize problems and optimize the use of time.

    • Perform periodic and planned inspections of facilities in order to observe condition of the property and initiate repairs as needed (i.e. Gauge inspection and tracking.)

    • Works directly with management, HR and staff to maintain a safe, OSHA compliant, facility for patients, physicians, staff and visitors.

    • Demonstrates a consistent willingness to learn and assist coworkers with daily operation, projects and processes with minimal supervision and direction.

    The patient experience specialist is responsible for operating an efficient front desk and providing excellent customer service. The patient specialist also performs secretarial and various general procedures associated with routine patient encounters. The patient specialist maintains a positive relationship with patients, family members, other visitors, as well as fellow employees.

    • Open the reception area in a timely manner and monitor lobby activities taking action as needed.
