About
Bailey

Bailey Ellis, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in hip and knee care. Originally from Van Meter, Iowa, Bailey earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Iowa State University and completed her physician assistant training at Des Moines University.

Her journey into orthopedic medicine began in high school when she had the opportunity to observe a suturing class at DMU—an experience that sparked her passion for hands-on care and ultimately set her on the path to becoming a physician assistant.

Bailey takes a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing clear communication and shared decision-making. She is committed to helping patients understand their condition and treatment options, working collaboratively to find the best plan to restore mobility and improve quality of life.

Her favorite part of the job is seeing the transformation that happens after surgery—when patients return for post-operative visits and share how they’re once again enjoying the activities they had to give up due to joint pain.

Outside of work, Bailey enjoys spending time with her husband, who is a physical therapist, and their daughter. As a family, they love going for walks, golfing, and discovering new restaurants together.
