Emilie

Emilie grew up in Amana, Iowa. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Mount Mercy University and went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Creighton University. For nearly six years, she has practiced in the Ankeny area and the greater Des Moines metro, treating a wide range of conditions including generalized orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, gait and balance training, and care for women following lumpectomies and mastectomies related to breast cancer. In February 2025, Emilie joined the Iowa Ortho team as the Physical Therapy Clinic Manager at the Ankeny location.

Outside of her professional life, Emilie and her husband have a three-year-old son and are expecting twin girls. They also have two golden retrievers who add to the lively household. In her spare time, Emilie enjoys being with her family, running, golfing, solving puzzles, traveling, and attending shows and musicals.

Emilie chose a career in physical therapy to help individuals regain their functional abilities and improve their quality of life following injury or medical events. She finds the most rewarding aspect of her profession to be forming meaningful relationships with her patients, empowering them through education, and witnessing their progress as they return to the activities they enjoy.
