About Medeja
Medeja Donlagic-Yanqui, PA-C, is a physician assistant with a clinical focus in trauma care and hip replacements. She brings a patient-centered approach to her practice, emphasizing individualized care plans that reflect each patient’s unique goals, preferences, and lifestyle.
Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Medeja earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri before completing her physician assistant training at St. Ambrose University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she spent eight years working in mental health—a background that deeply informs her compassionate and holistic approach to orthopedic care.
Medeja was drawn to orthopedics to make a tangible impact on patients’ quality of life by helping restore mobility and reduce pain following injury. Her work in trauma allows her to play a vital role in restoring function and independence to those recovering from severe musculoskeletal injuries. She finds the most rewarding aspect of her career to be helping patients walk again without pain and forming strong, trusting relationships along the way.
Outside of her clinical work, Medeja enjoys hiking with her spouse and their cocker spaniel, traveling, exploring new cultures, and diving into podcasts and audiobooks.
