Lumbar Fusion
I have now had three lumbar surgeries with Dr. Schmitz. My left leg was getting weaker, and I had to do something. I still have back pain every day and am limited in what I can do. It took a full year to recover from the last operation to where I am now. All of my lumbar vertebrae are now fused, and touching my toes is difficult, to say the least!
I can ride in a car fairly comfortably for two hours and can stand for four hours, but not in one spot. I trusted Iowa Ortho and Dr. Schmitz, and I am not sorry for making that decision!
