“I have no regrets.”
One morning, I went for a walk downtown and looked at my reflection through the glass and noticed how bad my posture was. Slumped over with excruciating pain. I couldn’t walk a block without looking for a place to sit down. I couldn’t go to a lot of activities because of the pain!! I didn’t realize how bad it was. If I sat still, I had no pain, so I gained a lot of weight. No quality of life… There was none.
I was scared of back surgery. But the pain just got worse and worse the longer I put it off. I finally decided to do something about it. I went to Iowa Ortho and talked to Dr. Brett Rosenthal, and he walked me through the surgery. I worked hard walking in the pool to prepare for surgery, and after surgery. It was a hard recovery, but so worth it.
Now I’m walking a mile a day with my pup and going to all sorts of activities that I couldn’t participate in before the surgery. I have no regrets and my quality of life is excellent! I am so grateful for Iowa Ortho! They gave me back my life back!!!!
