Moriah Johnson, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in spine care. She works alongside Dr. Trevor Schmitz. Born and raised in Ankeny, Iowa, Moriah completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from St. Ambrose University.

Moriah was drawn to orthopedics because of its potential to significantly improve patients’ function and overall quality of life. She is passionate about helping individuals regain mobility and independence. Whether through non-surgical interventions or surgical support, Moriah finds fulfillment in seeing tangible improvements in her patients’ day-to-day lives.

Her approach to patient care is grounded in empathy and respect. She treats every patient the way she would want herself or a loved one to be treated—with attentive listening, thoughtful communication, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.

Outside of the clinic, Moriah enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughter, enjoying the outdoors, reading, and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones.
