Whitney

Whitney grew up in the heart of central Iowa. Her passion for helping others developed at an early age as she watched family members dedicate their lives to caring for and healing others. As a lifelong athlete with a love for an active lifestyle, Whitney was drawn to a profession that would allow her to combine her interest in movement with her desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Through shadowing and volunteering in physical therapy clinics, she discovered the profound difference physical therapists can make in helping individuals return to the activities they love.

Whitney earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Iowa. She has been practicing physical therapy for more than 18 years and has experience treating patients across a variety of clinical settings and diagnoses. Her clinical expertise includes orthopedics and sports physical therapy, with special interests in joint replacement rehabilitation, sports injuries, and general orthopedic conditions.

Whitney utilizes a hands-on, holistic approach to evaluation and treatment, focusing on identifying the source of dysfunction and creating individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals. She is passionate about educating and empowering her patients throughout their recovery journey and is committed to delivering the highest quality care. Whitney has advanced training in Pilates and dry needling and is certified in orthopedic manual therapy. She continually expands her knowledge through ongoing continuing education to better serve her patients.

Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her nieces and nephews at their sporting events and activities. In her free time, she loves being outdoors and embracing all that nature has to offer. Her interests include sports, art, audiobooks, animals, and supporting her beloved Hawkeyes.
