Awesome he treated my husband for an ulcers on his toe. When he was admitted for cellulitis Dr Trout was there everyday to see him. Recently I broke my toe/foot. Got in fairly soon. Very thorough. I respect him also for seeing his patients in a chair if possible so you are at eye level

I am a 76 years old female. Dr Mahoney did a total hip replacement in April. Recovery went well and at 2 months I was able to do a 7 mile hike. At 4 months recovery is complete. The surgical facility and staff made the experience a piece of cake. I highly recommend Dr Mahoney, Iowa Ortho and the surgical center in Grimes.

This doctor is an excellent surgeon. Never a delay to be seen. He listens to his patients. Most of all, he does not defer his patients to a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. He is with the patient from day one and is through to the recovery to the release.

I love Dr Trout he has been my foot doctor for almost 20 years I have had multiple surgeries and just office visits and no matter the situation he is always straightforward about what to expect and a very polite and gentleman. I would recommend him second to none to anybody that is looking for a podiatrist or an orthopedic surgeon he is Simply the best. He has done everything from removing a toenail to fusing my ankle and foot. I have a lot of problems with my feet and he has done wonders to take away the pain that I feel. Each time I see him I feel better by the time I walk out either knowing that he just did something to make a difference or we scheduled something that will make a difference. He also tells you exactly what to expect during your recovery and he doesn’t sugarcoat it you will understand when he says no weight-bearing for 3 months that is exactly what it will be. I was then called back to the exam room by a CNA I forgot her name but again very professional and pleasant. My provider was Casey PAc. Casey addressed my issue and gave me several options for treatment. Casey gave me a copy of my hip x-ray and reviewed the hip spaces, area of hip bursitis. I have been a RN for 49 years and would not go to any other orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Trout is an incredible surgeon who preformed bunion surgeries on both of my feet and it was a life changer. I had issues with my feet my whole life and the pain was getting worse, causing my feet to kind of lock up. He was recommended to me by a family friend and so happy with the results. 15 years post surgery and my feet feel amazing and I don’t experience that pain or locked feeling. I was able to get back to exercising and it was like a had a new pair of feet. Not to mention being able to fit into shoes without discomfort. I went to Iowa Ortho due to foot pain. I was seen by Dr. Trout. They took x-rays and fitted me with arch inserts. Dr. Trout also gave me a cortisone injection. I’ve had cortisone injections throughout my body and this was the first time I’ve received one and never felt a bit of pain from it! I’m to go back in a month. It already feels better! Great experience. Dr. Trout listened and then gave me options for treatment. I decided to go ahead with the procedure that day. He was skilled at placing numbing shots, and soon (20 min to let numbing shot work) he had my ingrown nail excised. Afterward he treated the root with Phenol, and done! Nurse came to bandage and give aftercare notes. Very happy patient.

I was born with hip dysplasia and had several surgeries as a child. I began having hip pain 2 years ago and was told my previous surgeries were giving out. In August 2020, I began experiencing severe pain in my left hip. I was referred to Dr. Aderibigbe and his PA, Anthony. My hip replacement surgery was quickly scheduled for September and it went very well. Dr. Aderibigbe and Anthony are knowledgeable, caring, and kind- I highly recommend them for any hip issue or surgery and I will definitely have them replace my other hip when it’s time.

I was a previous patient of Dr. Trout and he treated with respect and listened to my medical needs. He kept me informed of the procedure he was going to perform and how he was going to do it. Dr. Trout advised me at that time that another procedure would have to be done on the big toe knuckle later on for arthritis. So, when I broke my big toe in the spring, I requested Dr. Trout to take a look at it. The big toe did not heal properly, so I got another appointment with Dr. Trout, and he performed the surgery to straighten my toe and cleaned out the same joint which had the arthritis. I seen him 1 time 3 years ago and was suppose to see him in his office for the 2nd time but was admitted to hospital on another issue that same day. I figured I would have to get new appointment to see him, was I mistaken. The same day at about 730 pm who walks into my room Dr. Trout. Just talking to me like I had just seen him, he started going over my health problems and theres alot (no papers or computer in front of him) and says what do u think about what we talk about fixing it before it gets worse. Whatever you think I said. Ok I’ll get this figured out and see you tomorrow. Surgery went great. I have been seeing Dr. Trout for several years with recurring problems with my feet. He continues to take care of every issue. He is always pleasant and professional. I am always able to get an appointment when I need one. His office staff are very friendly. I like that he works out of.three offices and i can usually get in the one nearest where I live. Dr Trout really cares about his patients. He took care of my mother for years and now takes care of my sister and niece. I highly recommend him.

From the front desk personnel, to the x-ray techs to the assistants to Dr. Trout …..I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were all so professional and helpful. I had bunions removed on both feet and my big toes fused and I was so lucky to have both surgeries go so well. I had swelling, but I didn’t have pain. Basically none at all!!!! (that’s with no pain meds either) I followed Drs. orders and I can’t thank their team enough for kindness & support they showed me. Hat’s off to this group!!

Dr. Trout is a GREAT doctor/surgeon. He has helped me several times over the years. Seven years ago, he performed bilateral surgery on nerve bundles (ankle region). He has also corrected a hammer toe condition.Periodically, I need a cortisone shot for another painful condition that does not require surgery. I have complete faith in this doctor, who also happens to be a very nice guy. He has a great personality!

I would recommend Dr. Trout to anyone who is having foot trouble… Prior to going to him I could hardly walk on my foot…I had 3 significant issues going om the same foot and he addressed all 3 of them for me…The surgery went great, the recovery was phenomenal and he has the best bedside manner….. He is very good at putting you at ease and making sure that you are comfortable with what is about to happen and with your recovery… I highly recommend him at Iowa Ortho…. I am in need of a surgery on my other foot and I will definitely be going back to him..

How many people can say they are totally excited at the prospect of “total hip replacement” I’m not sue of that answer either but I know I’m headed there with total confidence in my Surgery team. Dr Mahoney, pa Casey, and all the other staff at mercy west and IA Ortho did a fantastic job 5 years ago, on my left side now I’m so ready for the constant pain in my right side to be handled by Dr Mahoney and Staff again.

I ruptured my Achilles tendon and was recommended to Iowa Ortho from a family friend. I was able to get my surgery scheduled pretty quickly and Dr. Kessler did such a great job. He explained my surgery and recovery process with great care, as well as did an amazing job with the Achilles tendon repair surgery itself. I would highly recommend both Dr. Kessler and Iowa Ortho!

I would 100% recommend coming to Iowa ortho. I went in with a broken leg and dislocated ankle. Had to do surgery which was the next day after getting everything checked out. I was pretty impressed how Dr. Aderibigbe went over everything with me of what he was all going to have to do in surgery and how long i would be off my leg for which was 3 months. I’ve had 2 check up appointment with Dr. Guy Sullivan that also went great. And just shy of 3 months later I’m in day 2 of pyschical therapy and everything is going great and feeling good. Like I stated first 100 percent recommend checking Iowa ortho out in Ankeny if you need an orthopedic doctor.
